Rick Bennett
Born in California to a military family, Rick had the unique experience of living and traveling throughout the United States, Europe, and New Zealand during his youth. He moved to Florida’s Treasure Coast in 1991, and finally settled in West Palm Beach in 2015.
Rick inherited a passion for woodcraft at an early age from his father, whose favorite pastime was woodworking and furniture making. He spent much of his formative years in his father’s wood shop, knee deep in power tools and sawdust, where he not only learned the technical skills of woodworking, but also the importance of meticulous precision – a lesson that continues to influence his approach to every project he undertakes.
For sixteen years, Rick owned and operated a Treasure Coast based residential and commercial renovation business, with an emphasis on kitchens and bathrooms. In 2015, he leveraged his experience to join a leading commercial construction and maintenance company in Palm Beach County. As Director of Operations, Rick played a key role in the company's growth, overseeing projects in 47 Florida counties and encompassing a wide range of commercial and retail renovations, tenant improvements, and repairs.
In 2022, Rick partnered with NDT Development and Tyson White to establish Bennett-White Construction. This new venture allowed him to help create a local construction firm dedicated to honesty, integrity, superior craftsmanship, and unparalleled customer service.
Tyson White
Originally from Australia, Tyson is a third-generation carpenter. He began his construction career at the age of seventeen, with a four-year carpentry apprenticeship. Through hard work and devotion, he started supervising projects at the age of 21. Three years later, the lure of travel and living on the water led Tyson to work on luxury super-yachts as a carpenter. This refined his eye for detail to the highest level, and challenged him to work with marine and motion obstacles.
After five years at sea, Tyson joined NDT Development working on a variety of projects, from the early phases of NORA in West Palm Beach to historic home renovations and multi-family property maintenance. NDT encouraged Tyson to obtain his Florida contractor’s license, spurring the launch of Bennett-White Construction in 2022.
Tyson understands the critical role of organization, communication, and efficiency across all aspects of construction. Additionally, he thrives on the challenges and opportunities for problem-solving in the industry. Driven by a passion for historical preservation, Tyson brings a wealth of experience to restoring historic homes and takes pride in collaborating with homeowners to breathe new life into their treasured structures, transforming their dreams into reality.
